I am an English Professor teaching at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in The People's Republic ofChina. I am working wth BYU Kenned Center China Teachers.
I recently retired as special education teacher and a developmental specialist. My primary private practice focus is with children and I have enjoyed especially empowering youth seeking new outcomes to apply to abuse and molestation.
My first interest in NLP came through efforts to find non-medical ways to treat diabetes because of liver disease caused by accidental poisoning. This led to the ability to invite the liver disease to leave, and it did. Next allergies were invited to also leave and I am now enjoying an allergy-free life. I then began an earnest exploration of NLP, taking the practitioner's class from NLPU in 2007, and the NLP master’s in 2008. I completed the trainer's course in 2009 and am a Master Practioner with 700 hours of classroom work, workshop training and additional coaching and couseling experience.
Most of my NLP work is centered in my classroom where I am happy to report that my students anchor their learning state, stay healthy, and apply NLP skills of modeling to learning. I have created a curriculum to teach basic NLP skills to special needs students. It is fascinating.
NLP practitioners assist you in finding the excellence that is already within you!
NLP practitioners assist you in describing and transferring models of human excellence into your own life. NLP explores the relationships between how we think (neuro), how we communicate verbally and non-verbally (linguistic) and our patterns or programs of behavior and emotion. NLP assists in healing the past and creating a well-formed future.
1. Behind every behavior there is a positive intention.
2. The map is not the territory.
3. Anything can be accomplished when the task is broken down into small enough chunks. (Experience has a structure)
4. There is no such thing as failure, only feedback.
5. People already have all the resources they need.
6. Every behavior is useful in some context.
7. If one person can do something, other people can learn from that person's success.
8. The messenger never rests until the message is delivered.
9. The meaning of your communication is the response you get.
10. Communication is redundant.
11. Choice is better than no choice.
12. People always make the best choice available to them at the time.
If what you are doing isn't working, do something else.
